The 4 hour tour will begin from The Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin 1.(see map below). 

The panoramic drive will take you on the coastal route through the famous area of Clontarf. We will stop at St Anne's park first for a short stroll and you will get to see some ruins of the old home that once belonged to the Guinness family. The parkland and gardens have been restored and during the summer months are in full bloom.


Opposite the park is Clontarf Strand/Dollymount beach where we will stop to see the view of Howth and for a great photo opportunity. A major battle took place on the beach in 1014 between Brian Boru's Irish warriors and the Viking army that was ruled by King Citric. Your guide will tell you more about the Battle of Clontarf and other events that took place in the area.


Our next stop will bring you to the top of Howth Summit, where you will get amazing panoramic views of Dublin Bay, Dublin Port, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin City. 


Howth Village is surrounded by the Irish Sea with Ireland's Eye and Lambay Island just off the coast. The walk on the East Pier is very popular with the locals and you are rewarded with magnificent views from the lighthouse.

If you would like to take a 1 hour boat trip around Ireland's Eye Island, that it is an extra that you must pay on the day. The Island's natural beauty, scenery and wildlife are a must for nature lovers. The boat tour will take you around the scenic island to enjoy the stunning views and wildlife. Getting close to the cliffs for the best view of the large bird colonies and seals. Live commentary is given on the way around with pictures of the birds to help with spotting.

The tour will continue with a short drive to Howth Castle and the Deerpark Estate. The Castle has belonged to the Lawrence family for almost 800 years. Howth Castle and Estate lie just outside the village of Howth. The estate includes much of the peninsula of Howth Head, including extensive heathland and much of the famous Howth cliff walks, with views over Dublin Bay, light woodland, and the island of Ireland's Eye


The return drive to the City is approx. 30mins, your guide will take you through some residential areas, where you will get to see many different styles of architecture. The tour will finish on O'Connell Street. If you have any question, please feel free to ask your guide.
